I had just spent the morning drifting from room to room hearing the same gentle acoustic guitar and female vocal lounge music through various HiRes digital file players or souped up CD transports, and the Rega room was an oasis of life and colour I desperately needed.
Harbeth speakers incorporate the thin-walled speaker design made famous by the BBC. The cabinets are lighter than most speakers of their size, allowing for some movement of the cabinet with very specific and strategic damping, rather than an attempt to damp all-around.
